Let us Play. It's is good
for our Osage Souls.
Osage Winter Stories are told only during the winter, of course! Anyone
caught telling a Winter Story during any other time of year are very simply
considered, a liar. (A2K and White Cow, have you learned this lesson yet?)
So I must tell you, that by my breaking this news, regarding our newly
identified Vulture Clan of the Osage, brings me very close to the edge of being
bad.
However when I am stuck in anything, I was taught and learned to "just do
something, even if it's wrong! At least a wrong action can be corrected." Stuck
is stuck and allows us nothing to correct and no learning takes place (remember
. . . learning . . . the meaning of our being born!) It occurs to me that many
of us are experiencing "stuck" these days . . . in all sorts of things. I know I
am. So let's do something EVEN if it is a little bad! But I don't want to be too bad
because that's much too hard to correct.
Here is my proposal:
Winter begins this year on December 21. That's too long, in my way of
thinking, to continue being stuck. I hate being stuck! And it's also really too
far off for outright telling Winter Stories. But, we can just think about them.
Now that this new Vulture Clan has been identified, we can wildly guess about
some of its traits. For example, who are it's Clan Elders? what are it's
medicines? who are it's members?
Normally, we would simply wait until we were told this information. But, I'm
thinking it would just be too much fun to guess. I'm already thinking that JS of
GHV is the Vulture Clan's Medicine Man. What do you think?
Save up your ideas for when I post this year's Winter Story forum and post
them yourself, or send them to me and I will tickle everyone's imagination with
a few funny lines here and there, posting them in total on Dec 21. Or just
send a line or two just for fun.
Now those Osage who "don't play well with
others" your still welcome in the fun by just reading, but I want to say that
playing is fun and I'm pretty sure you could use some wholesome fun in your life
too! So don't be so stuffy, find just a tiny bit of courage, go ahead and give
yourself permission to come and play with the rest of us.

Response:
-
Osage Vulture Clan Medicine
- Vulture Clan Medicine is gold
metal, green money, road-kill possum, and casinos. Some of their more
noted members of this clan are Charlie’s Angels, Hairey Roy, ex-headman
Jerry and Baby Chief.
- Charlie's Angels? Oh yes . . I
remember. I always called them Charlie's Anglers
- Methamphetamine
- Any drug or activity, legal or
illegal, which alters the Osage ability to see clearly and make good
decisions based upon reality.
- Mind Control
- .
. . new development by the Vulture Clan
- looks like an adoption looms perhaps the much larger Condor will subsume
the 'needy wahshashe'.
- Vulture Clan Traditions
- Mixing Medicines
- Cannibalism, as in the destruction of
the family and tribe.
- Greed - Greed - Greed - the old
"what's in it for me?"
- False Faces - Hypocrisy
- Deceit
- Charm - Charisma
- Vulture Clan Ceremonies
- Passion Parties
- Washing away sins
- You
might belong to the Vulture Clan, if . . .
- your animal helper is
a sock puppet master.
- you received your
Osage name in a ceremonial dinner held at a local steak house.
- your name probably translates
to "eagle chief" in english.
- you bestowed the title "Dr."
upon yourself in a Vulture Clan
Ceremony.
- you did not serve in the
military but need to degrade the honor of those who did and do serve.
- You believe that whatever comes to your
mind is reality.
- you know by thinking, because thinking is
plain easier than learning, doing and knowing.
- a certificate and degree just appears on
your wall and you have no idea how it got there.
- and your proud to have earned such
a high honor.
- you get your traditions by watching
what white people do and work really hard to learn how to get what you want
by deceit instead of hard work and fair trade.
- The intoxication of power has so blinded
you that you you really don't care and "your gonna get while the get'ns
good."
- Vulture traditions teach that
you can always apologize after the "get'ns gone" and then none will
remember.
- you can't pass by an $100.00
bill on
someone's desk without it jumping into your pocket.
- you prefer road-kill skunk stew to puppy
soup.
- your address is in
somebody's pocket.
- example statement: "I've got the X
in my pocket."
- example address: "BC in care of J's
pant pocket."
- the intoxication of power has so blinded
you that you honestly believe others can't see clearly what your
doing.
- This is the old "I
can't see you so you can't see me," that well developed Osages "out-grew"
around the age of 3.
- your traditions include extending
invitations to an Osage event having already secured a method for your
guests to pick-up the tab.
- your married to your cousin.
- you have a second wife without have
first earned the rites to more than one wife.
- you treat your second-wife as a
mistress.
- Go
ahead, we know your thinking of one. So instead of being a fun-sponge, click here and dare to share that very thought
looming right there in your mind.
Yes, that one!
- Vulture Clan History
- Of course, the Osage Vulture Clan is ficticius - BUT - these
Vulture Clan ways of being Osage unfortunately are NOT the least bit
ficticius.
- Vulture Clan traditions are rapidly growing and risk the complete and
final destruction of the Osage People.
- To participate in this exercise is to participate in influencing those
Osage who partake in the above activities.
- Hopefully our humor and play will influence everyone involved to
consider their own actions and strive to make healthier choices and begin
to correct the bad choices they have already made.
- To correct our mistakes is Osage.
- To simply give up on making good choices is NOT Osage.
- To simply give up on any Osage because of their bad choices is NOT
Osage.
- To give an Osage the encouragement to correct their mistakes is
Osage.

play are traditionally used in the Osage to teach and to influence click here.
